'Queen of Pop' Madonna has ended her three-month-old relationship with Brazilian model Jesus Luz by announcing her split on Twitter.

The 50-year-old superstar started dating 22-year-old Luz soon after her divorce from British director Guy Ritchie, but if a latest post on Twitter.com is to be believed the 'Material Girl' is single again, the Daily Mail online reported.

The news was confirmed by Madonna as she responded to a fan, who wrote "Hello, Madonna honey am glad you are single again — you made your best music as a single woman," to which she replied, "Not as glad as I am."

The relationship was apparently rocked by reports that Luz had cheated on Madonna with a Brazilian model while on a trip to Rio di Janeiro. Madonna had met the Brazilian model while shooting for the cover spread of 'W' magazine in December last year. Another reason for the split is being attributed to Madonna's decision to adopt another child from Malawi. The officials in the country had reportedly questioned the appropriateness of her dating a man almost half her age, which prompted Madonna to end her relationship. Madonna is all set to fly to the African country to adopt four-year-old Mercy James.

The latest development may harm Luz's skyrocketing modeling career, which took off after his relationship with the star became public.
