Apple Crumble how to...

Ingredients:
6 oz plain flour
3 oz margarine
3 oz sugar
Filling:
1 lb fresh fruit
3 oz granulated sugar

Method:
1. Heat oven 180`c
2. Sieve flour into a mixing bowl
3. Cut fat into small pieces, using fingertips rub margarine into the flour until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
4. Add sugar and stir well.
5. Peel apples. Cut them into quarters and slice each quarter into thin pieces. Prepare other fruit according to type)
6. Place half apples (or other fruit) into ovenproof dish. Sprinkle half the sugar on top, place the remaining fruit on top and sprinkle other half of sugar on top.
7. Cover the fruit with the cake mixture, bake in the middle of the oven for approx 35 minutes.
*** You could add a teaspoon of cinnamon to the breadcrumb mixture before cooking to give a nice flavor.
